North Carolina Cookie Day

Eighth grade students at Collettsville School took part in North Carolina Cookie Day, which incorporated Language Arts, Math and NC Geography. The students had to use their math skills to use correct measurements for their cookie ingredients and their knowledge of North Carolina Geography to decorate the different regions with frosting and label the major cities and rivers with candies. Finally, in their language arts journals the students reflected on their experiences and offered suggestions to the teachers for future curriculum integration. The best part of the day-EATING!
